Andrew Ashmore

After graduating in Law from Balliol College, Oxford, and adding an M.Phil in Criminology from Jesus College, Cambridge, Andrew changed direction and became first an actor and then a live interpreter. Now with over 20 years' continuous experience in this field, Andrew has been commissioned to devise and write pieces on a very wide range of subjects. He has performed in museums all over the UK in the USA and Japan. He is also a founding director of the International Museum Theatre Alliance – Europe (IMTAL –Europe), a body which seeks to establish best practice in live interpretation. Andrew has presented at conferences in the UK, USA and Germany for IMTAL-Europe and the Museums Association, and contributed chapters to several books on professional practice.
